In terms of transformation of education there is an urgent need for analysis of the proceeding processes in modern religious studies education. The article presents a comparative analysis of educational programs for the program track “Study of Religion” (bachelor degree). The authors determine the reasons of universality of the approach to academic training in religious studies and find regional, practice-oriented, and methodological specifics of educational programs. The existing trends reflecting development of national religious studies are shown in substantial specifics of educational programs. The authors reveal models of disciplines’ balance in the curricula relating to these or those religions. The first one is associated with an apportionment of total volume of disciplines between various religious traditions and embracing of most possible amount of the existing religions. The second model assumes a priority of the disciplines which are substantially connected with some one religion. Comparative analysis of curricula of educational programs for the program track “Study of Religion” has also allowed recording such important tendency as an increase of disciplines connected with methodological aspects of religious studies. Identification of the reasons of universality of the approach to training in religious studies and detection of regional, practice-oriented, and methodological specifics of educational programs become a result of the study. Actual trends reflecting development of national religious studies are shown in substantial specifics of educational programs.
