The author analyzes the historical experience and development of periodicals on the Study of Religion at the present stage. The work observes positive changes in the field of humanitarian studies in China that have occurred in recent years – in particular, the transition of the Chinese study of religion from a simplified and superficial to its consideration as an integral part of the historical and cultural system of humanity. The creation of numerous new research institutions for the Study of Religion in China creates conditions for the emergence of professional journals that play a significant role in the development of Chinese religious studies. The author notes that the creation of professional journals stimulates the development of the study of religion in China, plays a significant role in the expansion of problem fields and in the formation of disciplinary standards, becoming one of the most important signs of the development of Chinese religious studies.
