The article explores the religious foundations that served as the basis for the formation of Grigory Savvich Skovoroda's worldview. It is concluded that religiosity occupies a central place in his picture of the world, and the philosophical concept bears the imprint of a deep inner religiosity. Theocentrical and Christological views, being one of the essential foundations of the philosophical and religious thoughts of Scovoroda, are interconnected and mutually determined in the ontological, epistemological and ethical aspects of his teaching. Providentialism, closely intertwined with Christologism, is the idea of a transcendent spirituality that hides and manifests, guides and is a self-cognizing metaphysical cause and ultimate goal of all that exists. Combining the divine and the human in itself, truly reflecting the Divine Logos and its own fullness of spirit, human as a microcosm embodies and affirms the divine-human unity. The mysticism of the thinker's views and teachings is largely associated with the specifics of personal religious experience, manifested in different milestones of the philosopher’s religious biography. Skovoroda's mysticism is both a subjective alternative and a continuation of his providentialism. The study reveals some important stages and key points in the thinker's life path in the context of the change and development of his religious and philosophical views. The work highlights the main features of the worldview and the fundamental foundations of the doctrine: theocentrism, Christologism, providentialism, religious mysticism, which decisively influenced the formation of the philosophical concept of G. Skovoroda.
