The understanding of time in Christianity is derived from Christian doctrine as a whole, as a religion, a worldview and a pattern of behaviour for believers who live according to the commandments and norms of faith. Christian theology considers time to be one of its central categories, and time has several manifestations in Christianity: participation in sacred history and the lives of saints, integration into the annual cycle of church festivals, incorporation into human history on Christian foundations up to eschatological times, and finally, an opportunity for the spiritual development of believers aimed at saving the soul and achieving eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven. In this article, the study of these aspects of time is carried out through addressing the following themes: the specificity of time in Christianity, the correlation between time and eternity, time as a space for repentance and salvation, and the reflection of time in Christian art. The essence of time in Christianity is revealed through an analysis of these forms of manifestation, which includes the salvation of the soul for eternal life and attainment of the Kingdom of Heaven. Christianity has a common vision of the nature and meaning of time, but there are also differences in attitudes towards the objective and subjective dimensions of time among different confessions, such as Catholicism, Orthodox Christianity, and Protestantism. These differences include how believers understand their personal responsibility for how they use time and how to promote a Christian understanding of time to the general public.
