The history of the resettlement of Russian Old Believers in Primorye in the second half of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries is highlighted in the article. The main reasons for the emigration of coastal Old Believers to Manchuria in the 1920s and 1930s and their transmission to this region of traditional Russian culture are shown. The main causes and features of their emigration from the Asian to the American continent and resettlement in Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, and Uruguay in the 1950s and 1960s are revealed. Characterized by features of the adaptation of the old Russian rituals to everyday life in South America. The important role of the religious beliefs of the Old Believers in the preservation and development of Russian culture in the South American host countries is noted. Attention is paid to the intercultural communication of Russians and the local population. The main reasons for the re-emigration of the descendants of the Old Believers-emigrants to the Primorsky Kray at the beginning of the 21st century are indicated. The role of the Agency for the Development of Human Capital of the Ministry for the Development of the Far East in the adaptation of South American Old Believers to the conditions of life in Primorye is analyzed.
