The activity and creativity of Svetlana Zarasyevna Hodger, a Nanai craftswoman and storyteller, help her relatives solve various life problems. This article investigates the influence of her lucid dreams on the process of creating works of art and crafts, which have long been of interest to ethnographers, art historians, and local historians in Russia. Her works have been presented in exhibitions, stored in museums, regional and central archives, and cultural and scientific institutions. Folklore materials collected by S.Z. Hodger are included in monographs, articles, and are available on the Internet. However, conscious dreams, which she uses as the basis for her watercolor and oil paintings, carpets, embroideries along with samples of Nanais ornaments on fabrics and birch bark, mythological subjects, works of shamanic folklore, and sociocultural communication, have not yet been studied in detail. Unlike S. Freud's concept, there is not even a hint of sexuality in her lucid dreams. S.Z. Hodger's dreams about men and women are about love without physiological details. In the dreams of the Nanai artist, there is nothing of K. Castaneda's esoteric, mystical teachings about transcendental reality, because her consciousness is not clouded by narcotic substances. S.Z. Hodger conjures up the necessary plots based of her mental experience with Nanai mythology, folklore, beliefs, rituals, and protective magic, all imbued with goodness, light and love for her native land and culture.
