The article studies the organization of aid to the front by church institutions in the Novosibirsk region during the Great Patriotic War and in modern times. During the pre-war secularization process, the structures of parish churches were practically non-existent. Despite the difficult situation for the Orthodox Church, Orthodox hierarchs encouraged believers to adopt a patriotic attitude and do their best to achieve victory. The publication examines the problem of including believers in assisting the front, which was manifested in various forms of support for the national army during 1941–1945 and today. The roles of clergy and frontline soldiers who became priests after the war are highlighted. It is demonstrated that the restoration of religious structures in 1943 helped organize aid for the war effort. The government has assessed the results of these efforts. The assistance of believers from the Novosibirsk region became part of the overall process of believer assistance to the front during the Great Patriotic War.
